Featuring highlights from the great collection of the Chrysler Museum of Art, this volume includes paintings by leading American artists, such as Copley, Cole, Bierstadt, Homer, Cassatt and Hopper; Italian Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces by Filippino Lippi and Salvator Rosa; Dutch and Flemish Old Masters, including Peter Paul Rubens; and the work of European painters like Velazquez, Delacroix and Gauguin. The Museum also boasts major collections of decorative art, including Worcester porcelain, Gorham silver, and the internationally important glass collection with works by Tiffany, Galle, Dale Chihuly and Catherine "Cappy" Thompson.
