Peril at End House is a mystery novel by the Mistress of Crime, Agatha Christie. Summary of the Book Magdala “Nick” Buckley doesn’t believe that someone is trying to kill her. A little Belgian man with a rather impressive moustache named Hercule Poirot and his friend Arthur Hastings try to convince her otherwise. Poirot shows her a bullet that had been fired at her. The sounds of the outside world muffled the gunshot, and someone desperately wanted Nick dead. Nick begins to believe Poirot, but she doesn’t know who it could be. Poirot begins to comb through her house and her relatives, suggesting that Nick ask someone she trusts to stay with her. However, not even Poirot can prevent what happens next, for a murderer is afoot and he is out to get Nick.
