PrefaceThe subject of Company Law and Secretarial Practice assumes great importance in all universities in India.Scope : This book has been designed according to the Companies Act, 2013 and the Companies Rules, 2014, The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2015, the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2017 for the purposes of students appearing at B.Com. and B.Com. (Hons.) Examinations. It completely covers the syllabus prescribed by different universities for these courses of study. However, it may also serve the needs and requirements of BBA, MBA, and M. Com. students as well as anybody or everybody who is desirous of having at least working knowledge about the subject of Company Law.In this revised edition of the book, a chapter on Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 has been incorporated in the book.Conviction : Alongwith the personal efforts of the students, a good book is an essential input for success at the examination.
