The Complete Stories (Volume - 1) is a collection of classic science fiction stories told by the Grand Master of the sci-fi genre, Isaac Asimov. This collection was amassed together from three previously published anthologies, Earth Is Room Enough, Nightfall And Other Stories, and Nine Tomorrows. These science fiction stories are considered to be some of the best in the genre. In Volume 1, readers can expect 48 short stories written for the science fiction genre, many of which are now classics. The book begins with a brief introduction written by Asimov himself. In it, he mentions just how personally significant some of these stories are to him. Many of these stories also reveal Asimov’s feelings about subjects such as automobiles. About Isaac Asimov Isaac Asimov was a prolific writer, author, and professor Some of his other titles were Planets For Man, I, Robot, The Intelligent Man’s Guide To Science, and Nightfall. Asimov completed his MA and Ph.D, both in Biochemistry, at Columbia University. After a brief period in the army, he joined the teaching faculty at the School of Medicine, at Boston University, where he remained throughout his lifetime. Asimov also began writing during this time. He was the founding member of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal. Asimov was also the Vice President of Mensa International. Asimov had married twice. First, he wed Gertrude Blugerman, and after divorcing her, married Janet O. Jeppson. During Asimov’s lifetime, he received many notable awards such as the Thomas Alva Edison Foundation Award and the Nebula Award. Asimov passed away in 1992. In his honor, an asteroid, a crater, and an award have been named after him.
