Computer And Communication Networks is written by the author using several illustrations and examples. The purpose of such a design is to provide the readers with updated information on the subject. It contains the basic concepts involved in networking for the students and has sophisticated subjects for those in research. It features advanced topics such as multi-casting protocols, high-speed protocols, switching systems, WiMax etc. The contents commence with the Fundamental Concepts. Packet-Switched Networks has been covered in the next chapter. Subsequent chapters cover topics like Foundation of Networking Protocols and Networking Devices, Data Links and Transmission. Networks of LANs and Local Area Networks have been dealt with in the later chapters. The concepts Wireless Networks and Mobile IP, Routing and Internet working, and Transport and End-to-End Protocols feature in the latter part of the book. Applications and Network Management, Network Security Part II: Advanced Concepts, and Packet Queues and Delay Analysis comprise the topics on advanced networking.
