After serving the Department of Chemistry, Hindu College, for 35 years, he retired in 2006. The Federation of Educational Publishers in India conferred on him the Distinguished Author Award in 2011. A post graduate from IIT, Kanpur, Shailesh K. Jain followed up his Master’s degree with a Ph.D in the United Kingdom. With a special interest in Analytical Chemistry, he has interest in heterogeneous catalysis. Dr. Jain has been involved in the penmanship of many textbooks for school students.
