Goldratt was born on 31st March, 1947, in Mandatory Palestine. He finished his undergraduate degree of science from Tel Aviv University and earned his postgraduate and doctoral degrees from Bar-Ilan University. He founded the Optimized Production Technique, the Thinking Processes, Critical Chain Project Management, the Theory of Constraints, and other derived TOC tools. Goldratt was the founder of Avraham Y. Goldratt Institute. He passed away on 11th June, 2011.
