Neem oil contains triterpenes (Triterpenoid saponins). Azadirachtin is a common phytochemical present in neem oil, which has a great therapeutic value. The antiseptic, antimicrobial, antiviral, antipyretic, antifungal and antihistamine properties are contributed to neem oil due to the presence of Nimbin Triterpenoid. Several sterols such as STIGMASTEROL, CAMPESTEROL and BETA-SITOSTEROL are present in neem oil.
