Dark Witch is the first part of Nora Robert's best-selling The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, a fantasy romance series about Iona Sheehan and the search for her family. Summary of the Book Iona Sheehan wants to find the remnants of her family; her parents are too indifferent and she has no one she can rely on for acceptance. Her maternal grandmother directs her to a place where perhaps she can find both, a place back in Ireland, with forests and groves centuries old and legends older walk the earth. In County Mayo, she says, Iona will find her true home. Iona journeys to Ireland, to County Mayo, and meets her cousins Branna and Connor O’Dwyer. Her cousins invite her home, and into their very lives to become a part of their family. She accepts and gets a job at the local stables. She meets the owner, Boyle McGrath who is pirate, cowboy, wild horseman and more in one package she can't resist. She feels she can live out her life like this, free of concern and dreaming of Boyle. However, there is much to be said about happiness which isn't threatened time and again. Iona discovers that there is an ancient evil which has wound itself around her genealogy and unless it is defeated, there can be no peace or happiness for any member of her family. About Nora Roberts Nora Roberts is an American novelist best known under the pseudonym of J. D. Robb which she used to write her In Death series of mystery novels. She also uses the monikers Jill March and Sarah Hardesty. The first author to be inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame, she has written many novels, some of which are: Irish Thoroughbred, Montana Sky, Playing the Odds, Once Upon a Dream, Black Rose, Bump In The Night and Vision In White. Several of her novels have been adapted for the TV screen, including Angels Fall, Carolina Moon and Blue Smoke. She has been awarded the Golden Medallion awards, RITA Awards and Quill awards multiple times for her novels.
