David Copperfield is the first novel of Charles Dickens. It is considered by many as one of the finest literary works ever produced. It narrates the story of its hero from his birth, unfolding his moral, emotional and intellectual growth. It was said to be the favorite novel of the world-famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud. About the Author Charles Dickens (1812 - 1870) is one of the greatest novelists in English literature. He wrote prolifically and became very famous during his lifetime. Few others can match Dickens intensity in portraying the society and characters he presents in his novels.
