Maharishi Dayanand came to us at such a point in Indian history, from where there is a clear understanding of the pre and post era. Before the appearance of Maharishi Dayanand, this country was not only politically dependent, but it was standing on the lowest rung from all points of view, religious, social, educational etc. While preparing the present work, I made the entire literature of Maharishi Dayanand as the basis, there was a plan to present such a work of Maharishi, in which all the teachings of Maharishi on any subject could be gathered together. Whether it is the Ashram system, Varna system or their philosophical views, there are differences between God, life, nature and philosophy, or there is curiosity about mythological beliefs, Christian or Muslim sects, all of them should be resolved at one place. Regarding the purpose, the plan of formation of the fund named 'Dayanand-Sarshant-Kosh:' was given concrete form.
