Death and Dying is a book on the psychology of death, edited by the leading psychoanalyst Sudhir Kakar. Summary of the Book Death is an omnipresent force in our lives. About Sudhir Kakar Sudhir Kakar is an Indian writer and psychoanalyst, based in Goa. A graduate of Gujarat University, he pursued his Diplom-Kaufmann in business economics at Mannheim in Germany and his Ph.D. in economics at Vienna. Dr. Kakar trained in psychoanalysis at the Sigmund-Freud Institute in Frankfurt, Germany in 1971. He taught at the Harvard University and was a Professor of Organizational Behaviour at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
