The worlds of classical romance and murder mystery combine in this classic sequel to the timeless romance novel by Jane Austen. About P. D. James Phyllis Dorothy James was an English crime novelist. She was the Baroness James of Holland Park and she is best remembered for the Adam Dalgliesh series of detective novels.
