DEEP ENTERPRISE An umbrella is a lightweight, handheld tool used to shield oneself from the sun or rain. It is composed of a central shaft that acts as the primary support component. This shaft is often constructed of strong, lightweight materials like fiberglass, steel, or aluminum. A canopy composed of water- or waterproof-resistant material, like nylon or polyester, is draped over a number of ribs that extend from the central hub and fastened to the top of the shaft.Generally speaking, the canopy of an umbrella is round, though others have more creative forms. Stretchers link the ribs, which are often constructed of steel, fiberglass, or plastic, and allow the umbrella to expand and close. The ribs radiate forth from the hub. The stretchers and ribs support when they are opened.These bars allow the canopy to expand or contract when the umbrella is opened or closed because they join the ribs to the runner.There are many different types of umbrellas, including smaller umbrellas that are easy to pack in a bag, larger, more robust golf umbrellas, and fashion umbrellas that are made with aesthetics in mind. In addition, some umbrellas come equipped with extra features including wind vents to keep the umbrella from inverting, protection, automated open and close mechanisms, and ergonomic handles for increased comfort.
