In the ninth volume of Dr Reddy’s transcribed and edited talks on Sri Aurobindo’s The Life Divine, the author covers chapters eleven to fourteen of Book II, Part I. Sri Aurobindo discusses the broad range of our human ignorance and the nature of its origin, followed by the long chapter that logically follows on the origin and remedy of falsehood, error, wrong, and evil. Sri Aurobindo takes up the problem of falsehood and evil in its relation to the absolute, its place in the cosmic workings, and its action and hold on the individual being. The author has kept intact the direct, expository tone of the talks, making this an easily approachable book. Each chapter studies the main arguments in brief and is followed by lecture notes that encapsulate the contents in outline form.
