This volume engages with Juergen Habermas's political theory from critical perspectives beyond its Western European origins. In particular, it explores the challenges of democratizing, decolonizing and desecularizing his theory for global contexts, and proposes 'deprovincializing' reformulations for contemporary political and social issues.
