Once dry on paper they reveal their special features. The pearlescent effect has a twinkle in a wide variety of colours, taking handwriting to a new level of sophistication. To achieve the best from these inks you will need a pen that puts down plenty of ink, therefore, a wet writing pen with a broad nib is recommended. Should the ink be a shimmer & sheen version, the paper you apply the ink to is also a very important factor, the paper needs to be of a high weight in order to resist the ink soaking in.If the ink is absorbed into the paper the ink will only shimmer and not sheen. The sheen inks needs to be on the surface to reflect the light. These inks have different properties, some shimmer and some shimmer & sheen.
