Digital Signal Processing 2nd Edition lays a sound introduction to principles of processing digital signals. It provides an understanding of the representation of signals in digital form, the messages they carry, and fundamentals of digital signal processing. It follows a student oriented approach by helping the reader to develop problem solving skills. The book covers Goertzel Algorithm and Chirp-Z Transform, discusses Digital Signal Processors and Application, and over 650 worked problems and examples making it a good textbook for a student of DSP. The first chapter of the book is Signals and Systems, Fourier Analysis is the second chapter and is followed by the third chapter, Sampling. The next four chapters cover different transforms like Z-Transform, Transform Analysis of Systems, Discrete Fourier Transform and Fast Fourier Transform. The eighth chapter is Implementation of Discrete-Time Systems, the ninth chapter is Filter Design. These two chapters are followed by Applications of Digital Signal Processing and Digital Signal Processors. About the Author Dr. Monson Hayes completed his Sc.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. He taught at various reputed colleges before his current post as professor at Georgia Tech and a Distinguished Foreign Professor at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea. He has been the recipient of a number of awards including the Senior Award from the IEEE Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing Society of which he later served as member and Chairman, Associate Editor.
