Charles H. Roth, Jr and Lizy Kurian John’s Digital Systems Design Using VHDL is a comprehensive book on advanced level course in digital systems design, for Electronics and Communications, and Electrical Engineering students. It comprises of the basic concepts of logic design, VHDL and eventually discusses the advanced topics. It combines the industry standard hardware description language VHDL with that of the digital design process. This book is essential to Electronics engineering students as it details on the application level of VHDL and not just the theoretical part of it as a programming language. The book consists of a large number of examples, figures and charts for better understanding of the concepts. About the Authors Charles H. Roth taught at the UT-Austin faculty and was the recipient of the General Dynamics Outstanding Engineering Teaching Award. His areas of expertise and interests are Microcomputer Systems, Computer-Aided Instruction and Digital Systems Theory and Design. He is also the author of the most widely used text book Fundamentals of Logic Design. Lizy Kurian John is the B. N. Gafford Professor in the Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. She completed her PhD in Computer Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. She has also edited a book on Computer Performance Evaluation and Benchmarking.
