Disaster Management book contains three chapters covering various types of Natural Disaster like Geological Disaster, Hydrological Disaster, Biological Disaster, Technological Disaster and Manmade Disasters. To understang the difference between Disaster, Development and Disaster Management and role of different government and non government agencies with the disaster an attempt is made. Application of Science and Technology such as Remote Sensing, Geographic Information System, Global Positioning System, Early Warning System and Communication System on the disaster is studied. It also contains Disaster Management Act 2005 published by Government of India. The book also included case studies of past disaster in India covering Bhuj Earthquakes in 2001, Uttrakhand Flood in 2013, Bhopal Gas Tragedy in 1984, Mumbai Attack in 2008 and Corona Virus in 2019. The information provided in this book is carefully examined and written in simple and easy language, so that it is very useful for under graduates engineering students and teachers.
