This volume brings together the results of discussions and sharing of views and experiences of a group of scholars and socially involved persons. The focus of their concern is revealed in this book: They analyse the quantum change in the conditions of survival for the world “discovered” by Europe and subsequently colonised by it. It is seen as a change that left nothing untouched, from physical nature to spiritual souls and their cultural heritage.
