Surinam cherry /Eugenia Uniflora, is a big conical shrub or small tree that is indigenous to South America. Other names for this cherry are Pitanga cherries, Cayenne cherries, Florida cherries, and Brazilian cherries. Small fruits with an ovate to rounded, slightly flattened look are known as surinam cherries.
