The Divergent series is an urban science fiction trilogy by Veronica Roth. In its pages, a group of children are forced to choose between five factions of society and forever shape who they become. Summary of the Book Beatrice Prior chooses to change her destiny by opting out of her family's faction, but she didn’t expect her test results to be this startling. She is a Divergent, a person with aptitude for three factions: Abnegation, Erudite, and Dauntless. If she can’t keep this a secret, then her life itself may be under peril. She picks Dauntless and renames herself Tris. She has no idea what path she has chosen, for in Dauntless the initiation process eliminates all but the best. If she is eliminated, then she will be without a faction. This puts her at odds with the rest of the initiates and she realizes that she needs to win. But there are things that the mind cannot control, and her feelings for an irresistible but annoying boy are one of them. To keep her senses and her faction, she will need to use her secret, and risk everything. This box set collects all three novels including: Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant. About Veronica Roth Veronica Roth is an American novelist and writer. Veronica attended Carleton College for a year before transferring to Northwestern University, taking up its creative writing program. She won the Goodreads Favorite Book of 2011 Award and was the 2012 winner for Best Young Adult Fantasy & Science Fiction.
