Indian Literature in English has traversed a long way. It has passed through the historical, imitative, psychological, socio-political, experimental, postcolonial and postmodernist stages in different genres. It has come to stay, thanks to the diversity of creative talent of Indian writers. The anthology presents eighteen articles by eminent critics on different genres like fiction, poetry, prose, one-act play, autobiography and aesthetic criticism. It covers writers from Mulk Raj Anand to Kiran Desai in fiction and Annamacharya to Susheel Kumar Sharma in poetry. It also analyzes works of Parsi, Marathi, Telugu writers and South Asian diaspora.
