Dashgandh :For reducing the burning hot sensation (Dah) of the gods and their body, Dashgandh is the best. Whenever we have auspicious functions in home, for making the gods happy, and to receive their blessings, Dash Gandha is applied to the idols for pooja. This offers prosperity, growth, development, and happiness in our home. Hari Nidra : Offered to gods as Saubhagya dravya, offers calmness, serinity, relaxes the mind and relieves stress. For this purpose it is offered to gods. Rakt Bhooshan :It is specially loved by Ganesh, Devi, Jagdamba, Ambaji, Radhaji, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Vishnu, Gayatri, and Dattatreya. Red Rakt Bhooshan is specially very effective in energizing the atmik energy and potentiating the Brahmachaitanya within us. Shuddhi : Yadnya and home is our basis. We Indians were not the basic moorti poojakas, but we were initially yajniks! A yajnik is the person who performs yadnya by offering different herbs, rice, cow ghee, Barley and sesame seeds to the burning fire. It is considered that whatever we offer to the agni and hand it over to the wife of fire, ‘Swaha’, she carries it to the respected god.Lakshmi Gulab Gandh : is very cooling and reduces the burning sensation of hands, feet and body, and that is why it is applied to the gods for reducing the burning heat, referred to as ‘Dah’. Mixed with water, when applied to hands, feet and face it gives extremely good feeling for the gods.
