The original nosferatu comes out of Transylvania to find a suitable mate in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Summary of the Book Jonathan Harker journeys to Transylvania to discuss a business affair regarding real estate with the reclusive Count Dracula. His firm is handling the deal, and he is tasked with journeying to the Count’s castle in the eerie marshes of the distant land. There, he discovers that rumours surround the Count and the castle he dwells in. He chooses to ignore the warnings of the locals and goes to the castle, discovering the Count to be a warm host. He is shown to his room and told to not wander through the castle at night. However, Harker ignores the warnings of the gracious Count and encounters two seductresses who seem to be strangely inhuman. The Count draws the seductresses away from Harker and admonishes him for his haste. The scared man has no idea what he has walked into, or what sort of terror he has invited into his household in Britain. But once the Count hears of Jonathan Harker’s lovely fiancee Mina and her friend Lucy Westenra, he decides to take a small trip to find a mate of his own. What manner of creature is Count Dracula?
