A dragon comes across an egg, one that is in desperate need of a loving mummy in Dragon Loves Penguin, a children’s tale by Debi Gliori. Summary of the Book In a land of ice and snow, a young child asks for a story. Its parents tell a story of magic and wonder, that of a dragon who found an egg and decided to protect it. The dragon didn’t want the egg to hatch without a mother, so she decides to warm it and take care of it. However, the baby that hatches from the egg doesn’t look like a dragon. It’s different, but the dragon loves it nevertheless. The other babies aren’t so sure about this black and white creature. They have a strange feeling that it looks remarkably like a penguin. However, being different isn’t necessarily a bad thing. There may yet come a day when the feathered family member of the dragons can save them all.
