A year ago Vi suffered a stroke and her son Howard gave up college to nurse her. Vi, now capable of looking after herself finds it hard to let go. Howard has a secret - he is gay and has been seeing Bernard, Vi's insurance agent. A caravan holiday in Tenby does nothing to relieve the tension.
