Despite the lower cost, it maintains high performance and reliability. Comprehensive Features in a Small Package The Nano R3, based on the ATmega328 microcontroller, is a complete and breadboard-friendly board. It offers the same functionality as the Uno but in a different form factor, omitting only the DC power jack. It uses a Mini-B USB cable for connectivity instead of the standard USB cable. Flexible Power Options The Nano can be powered through the mini-USB connection, an unregulated external power supply (6-20V via pin 30), or a regulated 5V external power supply (via pin 27). The board automatically selects the highest voltage source for power.
