Written for use as a textbook, Electric Circuits can be used by engineering students of all specializations, especially by students of electrical engineering. It can also be used to supplement other textbooks as it contains lot of techniques for problem solving, as well as laws and theorems. Summary Of The book The Schaum’s Outlines series aims at students getting a sound understanding of their subjects, through solved problems and subject matter expertise. This edition of Electric Circuits has been improved by the addition of new chapters on Network Synthesis and Theorems. Concepts which are discussed, are then consolidated through problem solving exercises, in order to give the student a thorough grasp over them. Around 1200 questions have been included in the book, for the student to brush-up on concepts learnt. Some of the questions are also answered, for the student to check their level of understanding. The book has 17 chapters, inclusive of the introduction, and 3 Appendices. Important formulae are listed at the end of the book. The topics covered are, progressively, Circuit Concepts, Circuit Laws, Higher-order circuits and Complex Frequency, Two port Networks, The Laplace Transform Method and Circuit Analysis Using Spice and PSpice, to name a few. The step-by-step instructional method is especially targeted at helping students in their exams. The book is an appropriate reference and guide book for Circuit Theory, Linear Circuits and Systems and Electric Circuit Fundamentals courses, among others. Almost 600 pages in volume, Electric Circuits, was published in 2010 by Tata Mc-Graw Hill Education. It is a part of the very well known and popular Schaum's Outline series. The e-book also has embedded links to online problem-solving videos. About The Authors Dr. Mahmood Nahvi is an author of many technical books in the field of electric circuits. Some of Dr. Nahvi’s books include Signals & Systems which is used at the undergraduate level, and Schaum's Outline of Electric Circuits with Joseph A. Edminister. Dr. Nahvi teaches electrical engineering at California Polytechnic State University. His primary areas of interest at work are neural networks, communications engineering, control theory, signal processing and network theory. Joseph A. Edminister also writes academic books on technical subjects. Prominent among them are Electromagnetics abridged Edition and Schaum's Outline of Electromagnetics, apart from the two books that he has co-authored with Nahvi. He has been an Assistant and Acting Dean in the University of Akron, for the engineering department and is also a patent attorney and bar member in the state of Ohio.
