This is the story of a Brazilian country girl. Twenty-three-year-old Maria, whose heart is broken by the unexpected failure of her dream-filled first love. She had taken a vow as a teenager that she would never fall in true love. For her, love is a terrible thing that brings only torture to the mind. But a dream trip to the other country in search of fortune was about to change all her vows. What awaited her there was a status that she never wanted to see in her nightmares - the status of a prostitute. It was a different life of love, rati, addiction and pleasure.
