Empire of Silver is the fourth book of the Conqueror series of historical novels by Conn Iggulden. Summary of the Book The Emperor of All Men, Genghis Khan, is dead. Yet, his empire has nothing to fear. Ogedai, his son, has built a great white city on the plain, and men flock to his banner. The armies of Genghis Khan return to see which of Genghis Khan’s sons will become the new Khan. If Ogedai isn’t careful, he will find himself facing the assassins sent by his own brother. The Mongol empire has enjoyed a long peace, but its peace will not survive without a Khan. The Song dynasty of China seeks to use this moment to destroy all that Genghis Khan has built, and if Ogedai does not secure control, all will be lost. Meanwhile, Genghis Khan’s general, Tsubodai, is conquering the West, he sweeps through Russia and the Carpathian mountains, entering Hungary. Not even the might of the Templar Knights and the Church is any match for the great warrior. However, as his scouts reach Italy, he will be forced to make a decision which will change everything.
