This ongoing series makes a comprehensive study of the political ideologies of Eminent Thinkers of India. Taking a close look at their lives and times, it analyses their contributions towards the development of Indian political thought. Also, it extends a detailed account of their views on a variety of issues, including democracy, nationalism, socialism, Hindutva, Satyagraha, non-violence, social justice, secularism and socio-economic problems. Twenty volumes of this series are already published and few more are in the pipeline. This volume examines the political philosophy of Sardar Bhagat Singh. Providing new insights into the life and times of Bhagat Singh, it presents a detailed account of his political ideology and perception, the roots of extremism in him, and his relations with Mahatma Gandhi and the Congress. It also probes Gandhi’s efforts to save the life of Bhagat Singh.
