He has over forty years of teaching experience and taught at the Engineering College Kakinada, College of Engineering Guindy Chennai, and Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering Tirupati from where he retired as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering. He has been the author of two books and the co-author of another book along with Prof. A.V. Narasimha Rao. Professor A.V. Narasimha Rao obtained his B. E. degree from the Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering Tirupati, and M.Tech. and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute ofTechnology Chennai. He is actively engaged in teaching research and consultancy at the Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering for over twenty four years. He has published or presented over 50 technical papers in national and international journals and conferences. He has attended around 30 Conferences / Symposium Seminars/ConventionslWorkshops. He has also attended 10 refresher courses. He has delivered quite a few guest lectures. He has been the co-author of a book along with Prof. C.Venkatramaiah. He is a life member of the Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Geotechnical Society, and Indian Society for Rock Mechanics and Tunnelling Technology.
