Dictionary means a book that explains 'words and concepts'. In English, it is called 'Dictionary'. After the British rule began, C.P. Brown, while working in the Education Department in the Madras Province, realized the lack of dictionaries and learned Telugu completely. With the help of many scholars, he published the 'English-Telugu' and 'Telugu-English' dictionaries in alphabetical order for the first time. Later, Sankara Narayana published the 'English-Telugu' and 'Telugu-English' dictionaries. Although some dictionaries came out in the later period, they did not gain much popularity. The dictionary related to legislative and administrative words was not published in a comprehensive and simple manner.
