ABOUT THE BOOK: The book ʹ Environmental Education: Principles and Policiesʹ in its tangible form is the result of exhaustive research on each of the topics, innovative ideas, and overwhelming response from the student community to my earlier book on this subject. The book will act as self instructional study materials and help graduate and post graduate level students of various universities of India and abroad to prepare for their examination without much support from their teacher. This book is also expected to help individuals to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving, and take action to improve the environment as informed and responsible citizen. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dr. Savita Mishra, Associate Professor is Ph.D. besides M Sc (Env Sc); M Sc (Applied Bio); MA (Edn. Planning & Admn); MA (Edn); M Ed (University Medalist); M Phil (Edn); NET; and SLET. She is engaged in teaching and research activity for more than a decade. In the process, she has contributed number of research articles in leading journals both within and outside the country and chapters in edited books. She has also authored six books so far which received commendations from the readers. Dr. Mishra has earned a number of awards and accolades from leading national and international organization. Prominent among them are University Medal for outstanding performance for M Ed examination by North Bengal University, Best Teacher Award by Sikkim Central University, Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award and Bharat Excellence Award, etc. from Delhi based organization. Dr. Mishraʹs contribution towards developing learning materials for primary level students has been lauded by the State Government of Sikkim.
