Apart from this book, Koontz has written Management: A Global And Entrepreneurial Perspective. Koontz completed his doctoral degree from Yale University. He began working as a Professor of Management, and was later promoted to the Mead Johnson Professor of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. He had written 90 journal articles, and served as the World Chancellor at the International Academy of Management. Koontz served as a management consultant for Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and Hughes Aircraft Company. Koontz passed away in the year 1984. Heinz Weihrich is an author and educator. Weihrich has written Management: A Global Perspective. Weihrich completed his doctoral degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from San Martin de Porres University, Lima, Peru. Weihrich has served as a visiting professor at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Shanghai, Peking University, Beijing, the Graduate School of Business, Zurich, and Chula Longkorn University, Bangkok. His book, Management: A Global Perspective, has been translated into 16 languages till date.
