This book deals with the ethnic movements in North East India. In the region of North East India, there are different ethnic groups who have their own unique identity like language, religion, culture, customs, traditions, etc. Ethnic identity, language and region are the grounds on which people claim to have separate states like Bodo, Karbi, Dimasa, Rabha, Garo, etc. This has sometimes often taken the form of violent movements. Each and every ethnic group wants to protect their languages, cultures, customs, traditions and so on.
