It is an ethnographical study, and notices the geography, the people, the history, the customs, the trade, the religion, etc of India as seen through Portuguese eyes. The book has many illustrations, and photographs; as well as a map. This work is in the Portuguese language, and is a reprint of the 1923 edition.
