This book examines history and growth of two decades of sports leagues which is now a flourishing scene in India. It was with the 2008 born IPL (Indian Premier League) for cricket that sports league business has become an accepted form of entertainment. This book outlines status of various sports leagues and traces their journey from inception in order to understand evolution and development of league business. This book apart from documenting the growth of league business in India provides cross-sectionaloutline about sports, media, finance and management.In Indian sports market, leagues are providing entertainment to viewers, content and money for sponsors and media business and employment for sports as well as media professionals.
