About the Author Dr. Reji D. Nair is Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. He was officer in the Kerala State Planning Board, India. Dr. Nair has published many books including Africa in the New Millennium: Challenges and Interventions, Land Economics : Issues in Land Use, Natural Resources Management and Agrarian Development and Environment Conservation in the Twenty First Century (Malayalam). He is a recipient of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Fellowship Award (2006) of the Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy. He is a notable writer in Malayalam and has published many literary works including children's literature, science fiction and short stories. Dr. Reji has shown his calibre in the fields of teaching, research, planning and social activities. His other major publications include Emerging Africa: Potential and Challenges and Farm Management : Theory and Practice.
