This is the story of Fizzlebert Stump and the Girl Who Lifted Heavy Things. The Circus of Circuses is near and Fizzlebert wants to be a part of it, but he has no act to play.  Summary of the Book A circus is a place of fun but it is also a place of rivalry. Fizzlebert had once been a part of the circus show, where he played the part of getting his head placed in the mouth of a lion. But the lion is now retired. He could try it with a crocodile, but on second thought, decided that it wasn't a very good idea. So, he is now left with no part to play. No part to play would mean not being a part of the Circus of Circuses competition, and Fizzlebert so wants to take part in it. He needs to find an act for himself. He also needs to help Alice, his new friend. Alice wants a place in the circus. She can arrange flowers and she is also a very strong woman. A circus is also a place where you come close to your identity. Perhaps her strength can give her a place in the circus.  About A F Harrold A F Harrold writes for adults as well as young children.
