This book is divided into 18 chapters.  The first three chapters provide an introduction to formwork, materials for formwork, and design basics for formwork. Thereafter, formwork for foundation, wall, column, and slab and beam formwork, is presented.  Formwork theory and practices are explained in simple terms with a large number of schematic diagrams and actual photographs. Examples from actual projects are presented in lucid terms. SI unit of measurement has been used. Numerous solved examples are presented to reinforce the understanding of the concepts Formwork products/systems of major manufacturers are described in the book. References to Indian Standards, other major Standard Code of Practices, and research literatures are provided to aid the practitioners and researchers.
