When scientist Victor Frankenstein used science to come up with his very own creation, his intention was for it to be perfect and beautiful. However, the creation turned out to be just the opposite and even the scientist cannot stand being anywhere near the monster he made. Summary of the Book Victor Frankenstein was very pleased when he began making his own creation using science. He was delighted that he was soon going to see the result of his hard work. However, he was disappointed and horrified when his creation looked nothing like what he imagined and behaved very differently. He stayed away from it and abandoned it. Frankenstein is a story about the miserable life of the creature and the life of Victor after he was done creating the monster. The creature was terrified and alone for a very long time, but he later began to hate the world he was brought into. Victor and the creature come to face each other after a while and the scientist realizes that the monster that he had done injustice to has now become a very dangerous being. Frankenstein is considered to be one of the greatest horror stories. About Mary Shelley Mary Shelley is best known for her Gothic novel, Frankenstein. She started the novel when she was eighteen and it was finally published when she was twenty years old. She was married to Percy Shelley, the Romantic poet who has made a significant mark in literature. Mary was an English novelist, dramatist, short story writer, essayist and biographer.
