Early retirement brought new challenges as a freelance travel writer, specialising (of course) in stories about Greece. As a result of continued Hellenic touring, with children, then alone, then with grandchildren, writing about Greece for UK magazines, and researching this book, he has come to feel like an honorary Greek.
