The book Fundamentals of Hotel Housekeeping Operations has been designed to fulfill the requirements of students of catering colleges pursing degree; diploma or one year course in Hotel Management. The book has been written in a simple explanatory method so that it is easy for the students to understand the concepts of Housekeeping Operations in the Hospitality Industry. Pictures, charts, figures, and tables have been added to make the learning an interesting affair. Care has been taken to cover the syllabus of most of the universities and colleges imparting hospitality education but some topics may have been omitted for genuine reasons. The students are advised to refer to other authors especially Indian authors for information on these topics. For this the students may refer to bibliography given at the end of the book. Some new topics have been introduced in the book taking into consideration the modern scenario in the area of housekeeping. The book is not exhaustive or complete and suggestions for improvement on the book are welcome.
