Caudwell adopts an imprecise Marxist interpretation of the collapse of capitalism in his book, FURTHER STUDIES IN A DYING CULTURE’ which was written in the early background of the civil upheaval between the two world wars. In this book, he elaborates on himself, discussing different pillars of our social reality, such as beauty, reality, consciousness, the arts, and the role of psychoanalysis. Caudwell aims to demonstrate to us precisely how our capitalist culture is perishing and withering under the weight of its own material (and intellectual) excess.
