He received Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, in 2005. He has more than ten years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Mechanical Engineering. He taught various subjects such as Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Machine Design. He also proposed and taught advanced course like smart materials and structures. He has also more than ten years of research experience in the field of smart materials and structures including nano structures and published more than 30 research papers in international journals and conferences. Santosh Kumar Sengar has done M. Phil. and Ph. D. from Aligarh Muslim University. He is presently working as an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences in the University of Dar es salaam (UDSM), Tanzania. Before joining UDSM, he worked as an Associate Professor in the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, University of Dodoma, Tanzania, from 2009 to 2013.
