Hanuman entered Patala loka in search of Rama and Lakshmana, He found that the life of Ahiravana was hidden in the five lamps which were placed in different directions. He could be killed only by extinguishing all five lamps at the same time. To accomplish this, Hanuman had to take the form of Panchamukha Hanuman.he five faces are that of Lord Hanuman, Lord Narasimha, Lord Adivaraha, Lord Hayagriva, and Lord Garuda. Hanuman is a great yogi (mystic) having transcended the five senses (Pancha Indriyas).The idol of Panchmukhi Hanuman ji should be placed in the south-west direction of the house and worshiped regularly. It is believed that by doing this one will never face any financial crisis.
