The book entitled Geriatric Issues in Community Psychology Perspectives' embraces the salient features of aging process. In community psychology perspective, the conceptual shifts are needed to change societal attitudes now dominated by negative age stereotypes. The older adults face the challenge of maintaining autonomy in a society. Encouraging older adults to stay active not only benefits their physical, social, psychological and emotional well being, but also contributes to the greater society.
